Lament for lost dreams

Got inspired by this song:

Mind.in.a.box - Lament For Lost Dreams

I woke up one day,
and didn't know whence I came.
I looked back one day,
and nothing spoke my name.

I saw myself from afar,
and could not comprehend.
I felt a throbbing scar,
and knew it would never mend.

I beheld the path behind me,
and the weeds were growing tall.
I looked where my footsteps should be,
but there was nothing there at all.

I knelt down without a sound,
feeling the emptiness inside.
I buried my face in the ground,
screaming silently to stem the tide.

I will cry out into the night,
and let my anguish die away.
I will thrust my agony aside,
to prepare for a new day.

in this moment my strength failed,
I was falling through the ground.
in the distance my soul wailed,
all my parts became unbound.

in this moment I felt strong,
I could see me inside out.
and my soul it came along,
so effacing my pitch-dark bout.

I cried for what was not meant to be,
a last tribute to lost dreams.
I had to leave behind my effigy,
and with it bury all my screams.

I turned around and looked straight on,
aware of the crossroads up ahead.
I felt my fear the first time gone,
and saw a future for me to tread.

I will cry out into the night,
and let my anguish die away.
I will thrust my agony aside,
to prepare for a new day

Vili's 3D printing journal, entry 1 - Space cat project collaboration with Art Of Shade

Hello everyone! One year has passed since my last blog entry about my bizarre 3D printing adventures. During this time I took the opportunity to write in my notebook about the projects that I have been working on for the past year and now I decided to share them with you.  Life is getting busy and busy, but I am trying to steal a bit of time for myself and my favorite hobby - 3D printing! I hope that you will find it interesting to see what my workflow is, what problems I came across and how they were solved in the next series of blog posts that I am about to write. Without further ado let me introduce you to the first entry of my journal - a collaboration with my friend Kalina Stoicheva - Art of Shade  . Make sure to check out her artworks! They are absolutely stunning and she is getting better and better with every art piece! How it started I was browsing through her gallery and came across this really cool and cute character design of  kitties in space ships whic...

Vili's bizarre 3D printing adventures, part 2 -The Robo-cat

Hello, dear readers! Welcome to another episode of Vili's bizarre 3D printing adventures! Today I am going to tell you the story of one 3D printed Robo-cat!  It was the award of a challenge me and the other students accepted as part of the 3Ds Max course at CGZEN . Whoever creates the best looking cat will receive a 3D printed model of it. Strangely enough I was given the honor to print the kitty! The lucky winner was Stanislava Zahova and this is her Robo-cat: Robo-cat by Stanislava Zahova Isn't it just cute? :3 Model analysis We can divide the parts in two groups - with and without supports. The head, tail and legs clearly need to be supported, while the paws, neck, body, torso and back won't need any supports at all. In terms of resolution this model can use the faster settings since there aren't much details on it. The cat needed to be scaled just a little bit, not like the previous model we discussed here . The final size was around 12-13 cm high. ...

Vili's bizarre 3D printing adventures, part 10 - The forest nymph

Here we are, my dear readers! Standing at the end of this adventure that I have started to write about back in March! I really hope that you enjoyed my articles so far and found them a tiny bit helpful! After a little break I will continue to update this blog and my Medium profile with more personal projects and hopefully future colaborations with friends! The last model that I had to print was of one very beautiful and mysterious forest nymph created by Pavlina Koleva for the  Character design course at CGZEN . Forest nymph by Pavlina Koleva What a lovely lady! I think she is probably the guardian of the woods. Model analysis As you can see the model consists of only three pieces - two horns and the head. Details are everywhere and we have to be extra cautious with the ones on the horns. The model imported into 3Ds Max After import into 3Ds Max, I scaled the object up to 3200% which in turn Cura later measured as 15 cm height. This is in touch with the client'...
