Not Machine

... I am not a machine... I am a human...

At last! After like 3 months or so of struggles and stealing from what's left from my free time i finally managed to finish this artwork. It is inspired by the brilliant speech by Charlie Chaplin at the end of his movie "The great dictator" and particularly this part:

"Don’t give yourselves to these unnatural men - machine men with machine minds and machine hearts! You are not machines! You are not cattle! You are men! You have the love of humanity in your hearts!"

So the idea of the person trying to break free from the machine parts came to my mind instantly. I hope that you will like it!

Vili's bizarre 3D printing adventures, part 2 -The Robo-cat

Hello, dear readers! Welcome to another episode of Vili's bizarre 3D printing adventures! Today I am going to tell you the story of one 3D printed Robo-cat!  It was the award of a challenge me and the other students accepted as part of the 3Ds Max course at CGZEN . Whoever creates the best looking cat will receive a 3D printed model of it. Strangely enough I was given the honor to print the kitty! The lucky winner was Stanislava Zahova and this is her Robo-cat: Robo-cat by Stanislava Zahova Isn't it just cute? :3 Model analysis We can divide the parts in two groups - with and without supports. The head, tail and legs clearly need to be supported, while the paws, neck, body, torso and back won't need any supports at all. In terms of resolution this model can use the faster settings since there aren't much details on it. The cat needed to be scaled just a little bit, not like the previous model we discussed here . The final size was around 12-13 cm high. ...

Vili's bizarre 3D printing adventures, part 7 - The frog boxer

Hello, everybody! We are slowly moving towards the end of the project! Only three more figurines remain! Lets start the countdown! In this journal entry I am going to talk about another frog guy who enjoys boxing (his sparring partner is the frog from the previous entry ;)). The character was modeled by Alexander Tsvetanov  for the  Character design course at CGZEN . Frog boxer by Alexander Tsvetanov Look at him! He is ready to face his next opponent! Model analysis This figurine was also very easy to print. It consists of six separated parts in total. As per the client's briefing we have to print the head with higher resolution, since it is going to be in the main spotlight. Everything else can be done with more draft and fast settings. The model imported into 3Ds Max The object was opened in 3Ds Max and scaled up to 5500%! The resulting height in Cura was roughly 14 cm. This satisfies the client's requirements. Slicing in Cura The things we need to ...
