My Melody


..It's so cold...I'm so cold
It hurts but cold keeps me alive...

I am getting slowly to the end of the illustrations for the book "One second". Only two illustrations remain! :D This particular one took me three weeks to finish it due to my lack of  free time after work/uni. At last i managed to finish it these past two days. :)

Vili's 3D printing journal, entry 1 - Space cat project collaboration with Art Of Shade

 Hello everyone! One year has passed since my last blog entry about my bizarre 3D printing adventures. During this time I took the opportunity to write in my notebook about the projects that I have been working on for the past year and now I decided to share them with you.  Life is getting busy and busy, but I am trying to steal a bit of time for myself and my favorite hobby - 3D printing! Pillars of Nosgoth side project

Hey,everyone! Finally found the time to update this blog :D. This time i started a side project a few months ago. It is a tribute to my all time favorite franchise Legacy of Kain! I have always wanted to do the pillars of Nosgoth. They are so amazing and mysterious! The Pillars are central for the story in all 5 games. You can read more about them here: http://legacyofkain.wikia.com/wiki/Pillars_of_Nosgoth And so i started my journey: First the low poly of the pillar and the base. Of course the platform gave me headaches and had to redo it a couple of times until i get the shape the right way. All of them together with the color map done. Even the platform looks okay now with the right shape. After i did  the models i turned to Unreal engine 4 and started assembling the scene. The terrain tool is very handy in the engine. I also did a bit of greyboxing, modeled some walls and archways but there was still something about the entire thing that...

Not Machine

... I am not a machine... I am a human...  At last! After like 3 months or so of struggles and stealing from what's left from my free time i finally managed to finish this artwork. It is inspired by the brilliant speech by Charlie Chaplin at the end of his movie "The great dictator" and particularly this part: "Don’t give yourselves to these unnatural men - machine men with machine minds and machine hearts! You are not machines! You are not cattle! You are men! You have the love of humanity in your hearts!" So the idea of the person trying to break free from the machine parts came to my mind instantly.
