3D printing mania!

Hey, everyone! I was kinda absent from here for the past few months ^^. Fighting with artblock is a tough thing. A few months back I started a personal project to create 3D printed charms of the clan symbols from the game Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver. Nothing special, just some 3D printed earrings I can wear at work or outside. But then a lot of people from the LoK fanbase actually liked my project and started asking me how and where can they purchase the models. They even gave me further ideas to model the pillars symbols, glyph magic symbols and elemental reaver powers. Little by little, model after model i finally finished this long project. It consists of 4 sets with 28 pieces in total. I am going to present to you all the models, ready for 3D printing. I also intend to sell the models soon, so stay tuned! :)

This is a test print of Raziel's clan symbol :). Earrings are 3x3 cm big, at first intended to be with hooks, but got problems with the holes at the bottom. So i turned them into plugs. Necklace is around 7 cm big :). Both are now gifted to a very very dear friend of mine <3.

Continuing the 3D printing madness i also did Jean Pierre Polnareff's broken heart earrings from JoJo's Bizarre Adventures: Stardust Crusaders:

I like how it turned out tho! Like 99% accurate with the original ahahah :D.

Vili's 3D printing journal, entry 1 - Space cat project collaboration with Art Of Shade

Pillars of Nosgoth side project

Hey,everyone! Finally found the time to update this blog :D. This time i started a side project a few months ago. It is a tribute to my all time favorite franchise Legacy of Kain! I have always wanted to do the pillars of Nosgoth. They are so amazing and mysterious! The Pillars are central for the story in all 5 games. You can read more about them here: http://legacyofkain.wikia.com/wiki/Pillars_of_Nosgoth And so i started my journey: First the low poly of the pillar and the base. Of course the platform gave me headaches and had to redo it a couple of times until i get the shape the right way. All of them together with the color map done. Even the platform looks okay now with the right shape. After i did the models i turned to Unreal engine 4 and started assembling the scene. The terrain tool is very handy in the engine.
